 Markeshia Hays is a professional hair braider and business owner serving the Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana area. She discovered her passion for beauty and hair care early in life, which led her to pursue formal training at Balocks Beauty College, where she earned her cosmetology license. With years of hands-on experience, Markeshia specializes in creating styles that enhance natural beauty while providing her clients with confidence and comfort.

Beyond her professional career, Markeshia is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She values the love and support of her family, which keeps her grounded, inspired, and dedicated to balancing personal and professional life.

 Carolyn DeShaun is the founder and host of the Eve Speaks Podcast, a platform dedicated to empowering women through authentic conversations of faith, resilience, and transformation. What began as a personal journey of healing after the loss of her brother has grown into a powerful movement that inspires listeners to rise above challenges and walk boldly in their purpose.

In addition to her work as a speaker and podcast host, Carolyn is a Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience in healthcare. She has combined her passion for service with her mission to empower others—whether in hospitals, communities, or on stage. Known as a Superhero Mom and Business Woman, she encourages women to embrace balance, pursue their dreams, and redefine success on their own terms.

Ms. Shenedria Whorton, M.S., is the Director and Owner of Whorton Credit Institute (WCI). WCI provides credit education on establishing and maintaining excellent credit

for life. Mrs. Whorton was a former Branch Manager and Loan Officer at a Credit Union for 8 years. Currently, she is a Law Administrator at an all-woman law firm. WCI has been providing clients with the education needed to establish and maintain excellent credit since 2019.

Before establishing Whorton Credit Institute, Ms. Whorton was an instructor of Criminal Justice at Baton Rouge Community College for (5) five years. Mrs. Whorton holds a Master’s and bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southern University and A&M College. Her foundation in teaching and her knowledge of credit has allowed

her to master the art of teaching all generations and become very successful.

 Commissioner Stormy Gage-Watts is currently in her third term as an elected Caddo Parish Commissioner, proudly representing the residents of District 7. This marks her second tenure as the president of the Caddo Parish Commission. She’s also elected to Democratic Parish Executive Committee’s Board Member at Large and Parliamentarian. With 27 years of experience, Stormy is also the CEO of Stormy’s Car Care and is a licensed minister of the gospel.
Her leadership extends beyond local governance; she has served twice as the president of the Black Caucus Police Jury Association of Louisiana and is currently the Region IV Executive Director and Vice Chair of Criminal and Juvenile Justice on the Police Jury Association of Louisiana. Nationally, Stormy holds the position of Executive Director at Large for the National Association of Black Elected County Officials (NOBCO) and is a member of the Justice and Public Safety Committee of the National Association of Counties (NACo).
Locally, Stormy is actively involved on various boards, including the Caddo Community Action Agency Board of Directors, the United Way of Northwest Louisiana Board of Directors, and the Sickle Cell Disease Assciaion Association of Northwest Louisiana. She is a former healthcare worker, having served as the Director of Community Initiatives and Economic Development.
Stormy is married to Christopher L. Watts and is the proud mother of three sons: Karrington, Wellington, and Remington. She is a dedicated member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Theron Jackson is her Pastor, where she serves as the Children’s Minister and Parliamentarian of the Board of Trustees. Additionally, Stormy is a member of the Krewe of Sobek and The Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards and accolades in recognition of her service and commitment to her community.
