Born into a large family, as the eldest daughter and one of twelve siblings. Michelle's inherent strength and nurturing spirit were evident early on, as she took on the loving role of a caregiver to her younger family members and helping to raise them. This foundational experience instilled in her, the responsibility and dedication that would define her life. 

A devoted mother of three and a compassionate "bonus Mom" to two. Her legacy of care extends through the family as a beloved Mother-in-Law and a cherished Nana to twelve grandchildren. She was blessed to witness the profound miracle of birth multiple times, being present for the arrival of three nieces and eight grandchildren, as well as experiencing the unique joy of personally delivering one  grandbaby.

Her professional career spans over 20 years in the corporate sector, with 11+ years in management, there she honed strong leadership and organizational skills. 

• Driven by her commitment to serving others, she transitioned into entrepreneurship, maintaining a successful self-employed career for six years as both a Family Childcare Provider (Being part of the core educational milestones and developmental growth for infants/toddlers) and an Insurance Agent/Broker (Serving as a Medicare advisor to Seniors and the Disabled). 

A woman of profound loyalty and deep faith, Michelle describes herself as a two-time wife who Loves God and a fiercely Loyal Friend. She acknowledges her broad skill set as a divine gift, feeling blessed that God has taught her to be a "Woman of all trades." She manifest a spirit that is truly Courageous, Loving, and Loyal.

 Katina Whorton is a wife, a mother to a special needs young adult, a graduate of Southern University School Social Work, she has earned a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Grambling University, and holds a paralegal certificate from Tulane University. She has served in many roles, such as a counselor, youth advocate, and sits on the Executive board of court watch NOLA and Southern Rep and currently serves as the Barron Hilton Endowed Professor of Criminal Justice within the School of Social Science at Dillard University. She has facilitated groups for local agencies for domestic violence, working with the offender and reporting to the court the progress of the offender and worked with women’s groups with those who suffer from mental illness. She has held various leadership positions and helped to build coalitions and work to empower and uplift the vulnerable and mentally challenged in the City of New Orleans. The arc of her career is centered around supporting and uplifting her community through selfless efforts driven by a strong sense of faith and belief that one must be a part of the solution 

Dr. Sonja L. Allen, APRN WHNP-BC is the visionary behind the Well Woman reTREAT — a sacred space for Black women to pause, pivot, and rise on purpose. A board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Assistant Professor, Dr. Allen blends clinical expertise with spiritual insight to help women embody what it means to be Whole, Educated, Liberated, and Limitless. She has traveled abroad to South Africa and Australia where she served as Nursing advisor for collegiate students interested in nursing & healthcare in other countries. Dr. Allen is passionate about issues affecting minority women's health and pregnancy outcomes. With roots in Louisiana and a voice shaped by lived experience, she curates wellness spaces that feel like both a breakthrough and a homecoming.

Shenedria Whorton, Whorton Credit Institute

Ms. Shenedria Whorton, M.S., is the Director and Owner of Whorton Credit Institute 

(WCI). WCI provides credit education on establishing and maintaining excellent credit 

for life. Mrs. Whorton was a former Branch Manager and Loan Officer at a Credit 

Union for 8 years. Currently, she is a Law Administrator at an all-woman law firm. 

WCI has been providing clients with the education needed to establish and maintain 

excellent credit since 2019. 

Before establishing Whorton Credit Institute, Ms. Whorton was an Instructor of 

Criminal Justice at Baton Rouge Community College for (5) five years. Mrs. Whorton 

holds a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Southern University 

and A&M College. Her foundation in teaching and her knowledge of credit has allowed 

her to master the art of teaching all generations and become very successful.
